Qondoc Infrastructure provides Colorama with the answers

Scandinavia’s largest retail chain for paint, wallpaper and floor coverings, Coloroma, is busy launching a brand-new business system in their 280 stores. “Qondoc Infrastructure is incredibly helpful during this installation phase. It allows us to monitor each new cash register and computer as they are installed, and ensure that they have the correct information and location,” Colorama’s IT Manager Carsten Bohlen explains.

Central overview

Qondoc Infrastructure Management provides IT infrastructure documentation and data pertaining to inventory, hardware, software, and network components. All at the same time. This was exactly what Colorama needed. With more than 3,000 units – cash registers, computers, switches, card terminals – distributed throughout their stores in Sweden and Denmark, accurate documentation and supervision of the IT infrastructure is vital.

Infrastructure collects information

”The entire chain shares a network, which will make it easier to supervise and maintain the IT environment. Qondoc is relatively easy to use.  We install the software and then we can “shoot” various questions to all the units in the network and gather their configuration data,” Carsten Bohlen concludes.

Colorama AB currently operates 280 stores throughout Sweden and Denmark. The chain has a longstanding reputation of paint, wallpaper and floor covering expertise.
