Qondoc’s history

The concept was started in 1999 in connection with a backup and storage project at Sahlgrenska Hospital in Gothenburg. The assignment was to create a backup solution for Sahlgrenska. When the preliminary study was initiated and the customer handed over his documentation, it could only be said that it was not of sufficiently high quality, and the whole of the documentation therefore had to be re-done. In connection with this, a market survey was implemented with the aim of mapping whether or not there was a product on the market that could help to make the work more efficient.

Inventory products, visualisation products and management products were identified. The problem was that these products were manufactured by different companies and that more niche products were required to obtain coherent documentation. In the end, no product was purchased at all, but a Microsoft Access database was used in which manual parameters were written that were then visualised using NetViz.

However, this started something off among those involved in the project – there had to be a better way of doing things, and so came the start of the development of an own product in which the various fields were coherent. This product was released onto the Swedish market in September 2002. The product was given a very warm reception and was tested by Nätverk & Kommunikation, among others.

The first release of Qondoc Framework was given an average mark of 4.4 and a mark of 5 for functionality on a scale of one to five, and the product was considered to represent innovative thinking. Things have progressed very rapidly since then. Today, Qondoc System has a good 70 customers. Qondoc Systems is privately owned and is wholly-owned by personnel / the board.
