Customer survey shows the way

During March and April, Pravin Mirchandani of Qondoc System carried out a major survey among our customers. Based on the interviews we find that our customers see our products as a “one-stop solution”, which optimises documentation of the company infrastructure with a very high automation degree.

Automation degree can be increased

This means that we already now supply the desired tools and functions, but we also find that most of our customers believe that the automation degree can be further increased. “And when generating conditions for integration towards other products within the management segment, we achieve not only a higher automation degree but also a short and more effective implementation”, says Sven Askengren.

The other tip we got from the customer survey is that the customers ask for more efficient updates. This is a strong request within the area of registration agents in particular.

Qondoc Agentless Discovery

Further, the companies want the products to automatically document automatic links between servers, clients and their connection to switches and links between switches and routers. “As a result hereof, we have changed our development plan for 2007 to meet these demands. We have also launched a registration product without agents, Qondoc Agentless Discovery (QAD)”, says Sven Askengren.

Together with one of our customers we are testing and developing QAD to meet the demands for a tool of this kind. Later this autumn QAD will be complemented by our SNMP tool. Through our further development of this SNMP part with components necessary to increase the automation degree for logical links, it is our hope that future updates will be much simpler.
