Qondoc -

“I like the fact that Qondoc’s software is easy to understand and easy to learn. I also value Qondoc’s open attitude, the fact that they see my needs. They prioritise a long-term relation over short-term sales figures. They can be relied on, it’s as simple as that!” Interview with Jari Marikainen, who is the servers and networks operations manager in the VLT media group.
“We use Qondoc primarily to document that we are keeping our promise,” says Jari Marikainen. “The most important thing is of course the operation of the servers. They absolutely must not go down. When news comes, it must go out on the web immediately! That’s just the way it is. If there’s a delay of one minute, there’s an outcry throughout the organisation! In our media group, we have twelve newspapers that form a very complicated network of computers and applications that have to cooperate problem-free 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Qondoc comes to our assistance by centralising and simplifying the life in our operating administration.”
“When a problem arises, we must remedy it at once. I’m very pleased with Qondoc’s graphical view of the network. If a server fails, we see directly where it is located. This makes it easier to remedy the problem quickly. We used to save all information in loose documents that were spread around all over the place, some of them easier to access than others. It was almost impossible to keep the information correct. With Qondoc, we have all information in one place, constantly current and easy to access, wherever you happen to be.”
“I like the fact that Qondoc’s software is easy to understand and easy to learn. In stressful situations, you take in information rapidly, reducing the risk of mistakes. I also value Qondoc’s open attitude, the fact that they see my needs. They prioritise long-term relations over short-term sales figures. They can be relied on, it’s as simple as that!” concludes Jari.
VLT is a media group from Västerås with around 864 employees. The company’s operations include publishing papers, printing and Internet and radio operations.
